Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the project's final year, I presented at international and domestic conferences on various aspects of English Medium of Instruction (EMI) intercultural communication (IC) courses in Japan. Topics included EMI IC course design, post-study abroad IC development and growth opportunities, IC assessments and experiential learning. I published a book chapter on managing study abroad during the pandemic and an article on students' pandemic-era study abroad experiences. I also have a manuscript under review on IC experiential learning. Additionally, I am guest editing a special issue for Research in Comparative and International Education (Sage) and collaborating on two projects with international researchers, including two edited book proposals and a paper on cross-cultural IC perspectives.
