Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research is a basic study on diplomatic documents exchanged between the Joseon Dynasty and Ming Dynasty China from the end of the 16th century to the beginning of the 17th century. These diplomatic documents were written in a special writing style called "Yimun". In the Joseon Dynasty, "Yimun Deungnok" was continuously compiled. However, only "Yimun Deungnok," which is owned by the Academy of Korean Studies Jangseogak, is extant. The applicant has for the first time cataloged this collection of documents and clarified its structure. Furthermore, we examined its historical value through comparison with other historical materials. Through the analysis of this historical material, we will be able to shed new light on the relationship between Joseon and the Ming.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
