Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
I have two papers published in academic journals for this project. In addition, in the last academic year, I have completed the paper on merger, which constituted an important part of this project. After persistent effort on this paper, we have a comprehensive evaluation of merger with surprising results, close relevance to real cases and sharp policy implications. Last, I'm also working on an ongoing project that further examines the essential interaction between firms' strategies and endogenous market structure.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
First, I will revise the paper on merger based on the advice of reviewers in hopes of publishing it in a good international journal. Second, I will complete the ongoing project and submit it to a journal. Third, I will continue the project on market structure with the incorporation of income effects.

Causes of Carryover |
1. To conduct the research on new projects, I need to buy a new PC, new books and update my software. 2. I will use the travelling fund for international conferences and domestic travelling. Domestic travelling is necessary when I need to discuss my research with my coauthor and other professors.
