Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research I aim at clarifying the mechanism by which newly established private universities can obtain legitimacy in socialist Vietnam where marketization has been rapidly proceeding as a whole, through examining the relationship to Vietnam society and the actual situation of private universities in Vietnam characterized by their high conformity to market and their institutional governing system similar to that of enterprise. As a result of this research, I clarified historical change in institutional governing system of private universities in Vietnam and social acceptance of them through analyzing official documents and questionnaire surveys which I carried out at FPT University as a private university founded by FPT corporation and at Thang Long University as a private university changed from people founded university in Vietnam.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
