Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research examined ways to alleviate anxiety by quoting some experimental psychological theories. The results showed that we need to shift our attention from anxiety, to outside objects through various daily activities such as housework. It is important to use more ecologically validated methods when shifting attention. Furthermore, it is useful to heighten the motivation for facing anxiety-provoking situations by reappraising the reason why anxiety occurs and providing information on specific mechanisms for alleviating anxiety in highly anxious persons.
