日英バイリンガルのL2表記表象の解明

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は日英バイリンガルに代表される、バイリンガルの心的辞書の仕組みを解明するために、実験心理学の手法を用いて仮説やモデルの実験検証を行うものである。本プロジェクトでは、特にL2語の間のつながりや表象について焦点を当てて検証を進めている。

まず、本年度は、引き続き、日英バイリンガルの形態素レベルにおける英単語のつながりの発達の時期や容易さを検証するために初級バイリンガルを対象として行った研究をまとめた論文において、国際誌に投稿した結果、改稿の判断が下されたので、追加のデータ解析等や本文の理論的補強などを含む追加の作業を行った。こちらについては、来年度（2024年度）早期の再投稿を予定している。次に、日英バイリンガルのL2語処理におけるアルファベット文字表象の発達と質について行った研究は、引き続き論文執筆中である。検証の結果、追加のデータ収集が必要となる可能性が高いため、こちらについては来年度にわたって研究を進めていく予定でいる。本年度終盤には、L2語の語彙競合が日英バイリンガルで観察されない理由として考えられる仮説の検証実験をおこなった。

中日バイリンガルを対象としてその音韻表象のつながりを検証した研究成果が11月にQ1国際誌であるJournal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition誌より論文として出版された。最後、日英バイリンガルの心的辞書と比較するため、中日バイリンガルを対象として、8件の行動実験と2件の質問紙調査を行った。これらの研究結果の一部を、2月に国際学会で成果として発表した。

Reason

コロナにおいて、行動実験がすることが制限されていたが、大学のBCPも制限なく実験が行えるレベル１である状態が続いており、遅れを順調に取り戻すことができているため。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

最終年度となる今年度は、現在までに収集したデータをまとめ、その成果を論文や学会発表として積極的に公開していく予定でいる。

また、同時に、できる限りデータ収集も継続して精力的に行い、当初計画した実験をすべて終了できるよう最大限の努力をするつもりである。
