| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
fullerene(フラーレン)とは，数十個の原子からなる構造を単位とする炭素の同素体である．fullerene graphとは，各面が五角形または六角形の3-正則な平面グラフであり，fullereneを数学的対象として扱うための道具として考案された．
2019年度は，数学分野におけるfullerene graphに関する最近の成果について調査した．この過程で，平面グラフや3-正則グラフ，木などに関するさまざまな情報が得られた．また，それらをもとに研究を進めた結果，申請者のこれまでの研究と関連のあるHIST(homeomorphically irreducible spanning tree)に関して，その存在性を保証する新しい定理が得られた．その他，Halin graphについての研究や平面グラフにおけるcontractible edgeについての研究も進展させることができた．
今後は，化学分野におけるfullerene graphに関連する研究の調査なども実施していくことを計画している．

2019年度はfullerene graphに関する情報収集を中心に進めたが，2020年度以降は，fullerene graphの性質などに関連する新定理を得ることを目指す．
