Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aimed to elucidate effects of the heat flux at single-atom scale on a macroscopic thermal transport across a solid-liquid interface. Classical molecular dynamics analysis was conducted for a solid-liquid interfacial system with atomic-scale structures. Developing a technique to calculate heat flux at singe-atom scale, this study revealed a relationship between the heat flux at single-atom scale and the macroscopic thermal transport across a solid-liquid interface.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
