Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The main goal is to develop and evaluate ferrocement retrofitting technique using experimental and analytical results. the following achievements : 1- Collected a database of 16 past experimental tests and proposed a simplified evaluation method which is also published in a journal paper. 2- Accomplished a large scale test using ferrocement technique with new proposed connection type and results are published in international and local conferences. 3- Started planning test and making specimens of ferrocement with other researchers in Universities in Bangladesh.

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
The tests of last year is going as planned and results were presented in several peer reviewed journals and conferences. However, at the end of this year some experimental work is postponed due to Corona virus. This will not affect the final goal.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
1- Conducting large scale experimental specimens with other international researchers in Bangladesh from June to September 2020. 2- Conducting connection tests of Ferrocement in Tohoku University. 3- Develop an evaluation guideline for retrofitting of ferrocement considering important failure modes ignored in other studies.

Causes of Carryover |
Some of the travel plans for experimental work was cancelled at the end March 2020, due to Corona virus situation. This plans is postponed to this fiscal year.
