Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
I have done the following related works in this FY. To promote the sales of oil products, a reliable design of oil products supply chain system is necessary. In the first research, reliability is considered to deal with stochastic hub disruption and uncertain urban demand. A multi-scenario MILP (Mixed Integer Linear Programming) model coupled with Monte Carlo sampling is employed for optimizing the supply chain system with considering the transportation process of oil products. A real-world case is presented to illustrate the accuracy, applicability and efficiency of the proposed model. High-quality solutions are obtained successfully under deterministic conditions as well as uncertain conditions. Then, the effect of uncertainties on the supply chain system design is also analyzed. The above work can be used for optimization under normal conditions, but when a disaster occurs, the shortest emergency scheduling time and the lowest cost should be the objective functions. In a problem of allocating oil products to the stricken areas, a multi-objective MILP model accounting for multiple supply sites, multiple disaster sites, multiple transportation modes, uncertain demand and effectiveness of scheduling paths is developed. A subset of the Pareto set is generated by using the augmented ε-constraint method to make each objective as optimal as possible. Since the specific demand distribution after the disaster is not known, robust optimization is used to solve the uncertainty because robust optimization approach does not specify the specific distribution of uncertain factors.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
I have finished the planned the research and published two related papers.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In this year, the results of the three sub-topics will be integrated, and a final system prototype will be constructed with an optimization engine and interfaces. Experimental system instants will be deployed in cooperation with communication and internet companies. They will be overall experiments to evaluate the functionality, usability, data quality and effectiveness of the system. With the analysis of the experiment results, the rest of time in this FY will be devoted to the conclusions of the theories, methods and findings derived from this research, and open them to the society with publications, web pages and open source communities, which will lead to the future evolvement and application of proposed system in broader usages.
