Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
(1) Facile preparation of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) homopolymer nanoparticles (NPs) with monodispersed size distribution and predominant ferroelectric phases was achieved in an interfacial nonsolvent (water/methanol)-solvent (dimethylformamide (DMF))-polymer (PVDF) ternary system using two interfacial nanoassembly methods. (2) Controlling interface formation with DMF and water plays a crucial role in manipulating ferroelectric PVDF nanostructures in terms of crystallinity and the ferroelectric beta-to-gamma phase ratio. (3) Nylon 11 nanosheets were first prepared using the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method, which was demonstrated with controllable film thickness at nm scale and metastable hydrogen bond interactions for reversible polarization.
