Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we aimed to develop an algorithm that uses radiomics, which exploits the high-dimensional feature space of medical images, to further improve DIR accuracy.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究で開発したradiomics解析を組み込んだ非剛体画像レジストレーション（deformable image registration: DIR）アルゴリズムは、より精度の高いDIRアルゴリズムとして期待される。より精度の高いDIRアルゴリズムによって、近年高精度化が進んでいる放射線治療の質を向上することにも貢献できると考えられる。画像を直接変形するこれまでのDIR研究とは発想が異なり、この分野の発展にも寄与できると考えられ、研究成果においては、国際学会での受賞や国内外での特許出願まで至り、高い評価を受けている。
