Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we developed a BGO-SAC detector designed by Monte Carlo simulation using GATE and succeeded in simultaneous quantitative imaging of PET (22Na) and SPECT (57Co) nuclides. For PET nuclide (22Na), we achieved more than 10 times better performance in spatial resolution, detection efficiency, and signal-to-noise ratio compared with conventional SPECT systems that have been studied for simultaneous multi-nuclide imaging.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
