Outline of Final Research Achievements

The purpose of this work is to evaluate the heterogeneity of liver tumor using MRI imaging. Relative tumor enhancement (RTE) value could be a potential biomarker to predict early treatment response. However, it was difficult to detect correlation between RTE and pathological evaluation.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

癌の薬物療法の治療効果を予測する分子学的なバイオマーカーの開発が進められている。画像評価でこれらのバイオマーカーの検出ができれば非侵襲的に治療計画を行うことができると考えられる。本研究では肝腫瘍の造影効果の不均一性を定量的に評価することでバイオマーカーとしての確立を目的とした。
