Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The current study found that prone position was associated with better oxygenation, less spontaneous inspiratory effort, less dynamic lung stress, resulting in less systemic inflammation. Therefore prone position may reduce the risk of effort-dependent lung injury in moderate-to-severe ARDS.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
