Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Developed the intervention with collaboration with Japanese and Mongolian research and midwifery experts;-Developed the questionnaire to measure the study outcome-women's childbirth experience;-Conducted the focus group study of the maternity health care providers;-Developed the training, educational materials to medical.Translating the WHO guideline for intrapartum care for positive childbirth experience into Mongolia;-Trained midwifery students as hospital-based doulas; -Implemented the study of the impact of the hospital-based doula support intervention on the women's childbirth experience and health during 5 months at the public maternity hospital in the capital city, Mongolia;-Completed data collection and data entry.

1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
1. The aim of the study was line with the national policy to promote the respectful care. Therefore,the maternity hospital and other collaborative parties are encouraged and cooperated the study implementation.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Tentative plan 1. Complete data analysis 2. Disseminate the study findings publicly to increase awareness of respectful maternity care 3. Present the study findings on the international scientific conferences and submit manuscripts to the peer-reviewed journal

Causes of Carryover |
Scheduled domestic and abroad trips were cancelled due to COVID19 pandemic. This budget will be used for buying softwares,textbook, printing, editing services and trips for disseminating the study results in the academic conference and journal as well among Mongolian professional and public societies.
