Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study examined the factors that promote standing balance by improving cognitive functions such as perception. The dynamic touch improved standing balance, in which the subjects actively moved their ankle joints to search for and obtain information about the sponge's hardness by discriminating the sponge's hardness. As a result, improving the motor function by enhancing the plantar perception was possible. The results suggest that the improvement of balance function by enhancing the sense of motor initiative contributed to the improvement of motor function as well as the improvement of motor function, especially in the conscious part that the subject performed the exercise, even though no improvement of physical function such as improvement of plantar sensation or direct muscle strength was observed.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
