Outline of Final Research Achievements |
I have created a system to developed a database containing clinical information, dietary habit and nutrient intakes of diabetic patients, aiming to establish a tailored nutrition counseling that is optimal for each patient’s pathology and dietary habit. I have revealed a current practice of diet therapy in diabetic patients, and examined an optimal nutrition counseling for diabetic patients with comorbidities such as gastrointestinal and cardiovascular diseases.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
糖尿病患者は増加の一途を辿っており、食事療法はその治療の根幹を成している。一方で、高齢化や食習慣の多様化に伴い、画一的な食事栄養指導では十分な指導が困難となっている。本研究では患者一人ひとりの食習慣や病態に即した食事栄養指導の提案につながることから、糖尿病患者へより良い栄養ケアを提供するための一助となると考える。
