Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
1.We have successfully achieved simultaneous recordings of neural activities from multiple layers in the primary sensory cortex. This was accomplished by employing multiple virus injections at different depths and utilizing a prism lens implanted with a one-photon endoscope. 2.To process our high-dimensional and noisy data, I developed a novel approach to effectively and automatically reduce dimensionality. 3.By integrating an innovative task design with a custom-made experimental setup, we successfully established an optimized environment to record neural activity while animals performed a sensorimotor task under conditions of uncertainty.
