Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We clarified the relationship between the tendency of citizens' environmental orientation and the degree of their willingness to participate in green space conservation activities. We also examined landscape management policies that can improve citizens' willingness to participate in conservation activities. The results of multiple surveys conducted in this study revealed that the group with the least aversion to nature and very positive feelings were the most motivated to participate in conservation activities in all surveys. There was also a group that had very positive feelings toward nature but also had some aversion to it; however, they were not highly motivated to participate in conservation activities. This suggests that not only having very positive feelings toward nature but also having a low level of aversion to nature is important to improve the willingness to participate in conservation activities.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
