Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the past year my research activities were affected by Covid-19, but I have been able to pursue my research to the extent that it was possible. Given that access to archives was not possible, I have focused on presenting my work in progress at scholarly conferences (held online). I have participated in six conferences (including 3 invited talks) in Japan, United States, Australia, and Italy. I expect to be able to continue researching in archives in person in mid-2022.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
I have been able to enhance the theoretical framework of my research. The actual process of writing has been slowed down due to the inability to gather archival material. As a result, progress has been slightly delayed, but I am confident that the pace will pick up during this current year.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
My goal for this next year is to conduct the research necessary to pursue this project. This means conducting reasearch in several archives and libraries in Tokyo.
|
Causes of Carryover |
Because many archives were inaccessible due to Covid, I have had to postpone this research to next year.
