Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The GOAL project in its second year of the design and development phase launched a web based application which can be accessed from both mobile devices (iOS and Android) and PC (web browser). Maintaining the privacy features for synchronizing data the system can now synchronize data related to learners reading behavior and physical activities from any wearable tracker using Google Fit, Apple health and Garmin connect. We also updated the design of the functions related to the DAPER phases. Based on this updated system, the research focused on individual phases in the DAPER model and discussing details of our novel approaches to understand and measure indicators of acquisition of self directedness. We could then propose computational models based on the data collected in the pilot studies at Kyoto University.
