Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we developed a mechanism to conduct Loving-kindness meditation (LKM) on a website and tested its effectiveness. In Study 1, we conducted a 3-week intervention with university students and found that self-competition was increased and has good usability. Study 2 found that LKM combined with compassion-related cognitive-behavioral therapy was associated with less depressive symptoms than the group that received a return-to-work program. In Study 3, a 6-week web intervention revealed a treatment mechanism that included increased self-compassion and increased awareness as the sessions progressed.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
