最終年度の研究成果
ヘルスコンディションのモニタ対象として体ガス(アセトン、アンモニア、アセトアルデヒド、エタノール)を選定し、これら4種類の体ガスを常時計測可能とする、小型で軽量かつ高感度なガスセンサおよびデータを無線転送するためのBluetooth通信機能を有する一体型可搬式皮膚ガスセンサを作製した。
高感度検出のための鍵となったのが、対象ガスと高い反応性を有する、酸化物半導体の選定であった。アセトンに対して高い選択的反応性を有するWO3や、参加/還元性ガスとの反応性に富むZnO、SnO2、In2O3、そしてアンモニアガスと敏感に反応するCuOを半導体式ガスセンサの材料として選定した。これらを30-100nmサイズに制御形成したセンサを作製した。
期間全体の研究成果
本研究では (1)ナノ構成制御形成した酸化物半導体により高感度化および、(2)複数ガスセンサとデータ科学によるセンサ信号解析により、数十ppbレベルの高感度ガス検出を達成した。半導体式ガスセンサは固体表面とガスとの反応によって生じる抵抗変化により、各種ガスの濃度を計測する。本研究では、酸化/還元性ガスに対する反応性に富むn型半導体であるZnO、SnO2、In2O3と、アンモニア等の窒化性ガスへの反応性に富むp型半導体CuOを組み合わせた半導体式マルチガスセンサを作製した。この半導体マルチセンサを組み合わせたマルチセンサを用いて、複数混合ガス(アセトン、アセトアルデヒド、エタノール、アンモニア)を対象とした検出ガス信号をデータ科学(機械学習の一つである主成分解析により、ppbレベルの濃度ガスを繰り返し検出可能であることを実証した。(Frontiers in Sensors, DOI 10.3389/fsens. 2023.1170289)
