Over the last twelve months, I have finished writing all parts of one main article using the research data and also shared the findings through international presentations. Following another presentation or partial aspects of the data in 2020, I first attempted to publish an initial article using only the two participants that allowed classroom observation. This was a short piece based on case study data. However, I was unsuccessful in getting this paper published. Due to this rejection, I decided to abandon this course of action and instead focused my efforts on writing a full-length article using all of the participants and all of the data collected. This final, longer paper has now been written and I am attempting to get it published at present. This involves sending the manuscript to international peer-reviewed scholarly journals.
In addition to writing the paper, I have presented the study at online conferences, thus disseminating the findings to international audiences. In June 2022 I presented a paper at the Sociolinguistics Symposium SS23, which was organised to take place in Hong Kong, but was conducted online. Following this, in September 2020, I also presented the findings of the study at the annual conference of the British Association of Applied Linguistics (BAAL), which took place in the UK, again this was online due to the COVID 19 situation.
