Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, by comparing childcare books in Japan and Taiwan, we wanted what kind of "children" are considered to have from the perspective of taking a genetic test. As a result, in Taiwan, having a child who was not tested and was not "healthy" was described as disadvantageous, and active testing was recommended. On the other hand, in Japan, it was said that taking an examination should be based on the thoughts and intentions of the individual, and that consultation should be made within the family. Childcare books have revealed that there are differences in the way of thinking about genetic testing between Japan and Taiwan.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
