Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to investigate what kind of things young children attribute "minds" to in their daily lives and play. A questionnaire survey of university students showed the following result: It is widely observed in early childhood that dolls and stuffed animals act as if they have "minds"; in this case, they feel as if they are familiar to them, such as family members or close friends. These results suggest that early childhood play experiences may influence attitudes toward children as childcare worker.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
