Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
A series of optical observations were carried out with Japanese wide-field survey facilities (e.g., Subaru/HSC, Kiso/Tomo-e) in FY2021. A dozen of early-phase supernovae have been discovered and follow-up observations have been carried out via international collaborations successfully.
With a promising number of early-phase Type Ia supernovae discovered in FY2021, the long-standing progenitor and explosion issues of Type Ia supernovae can be further investigated. Moreover, interesting transients other than early-phase supernovae have also been discovered. Scientific papers focusing on different transients were published, submitted or in preparation in FY2021.
