Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we proposed an efficient method for developing digital map contents required for both intelligent automobiles and intelligent personal mobility. First, we designed a new data structure for sharing map information between automobiles and personal mobility. Then, we also proposed a method for preparing sidewalk-shape information for personal mobility via road-shape information for automobiles, and evaluated the practicality of this method based on the results of localization using this map information. Furthermore, we developed a method to accumulate information on the locomotion of surrounding traffic participants observed by onboard sensor data of personal mobility, and to construct knowledge information that contributes to the risk-evaluation around intersections.
