Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research examines the outcomes of people’s planning disaster-prevention resettlement policy established in 2011 targeting 100K informal settler families (ISFs) in Metro Manila, Philippines. Through interviews with community leaders of total 20K families who realized community-led relocation, we revealed; 1) uniqueness of planning processes and architectural designs by People’s Organizations (POs), and 2) collaboration among projects such as assembly of existing resident groups to form a PO or knowledge sharing among POs.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

これまで国内におけるコーポラティブ住宅計画（参加型住宅計画）に関する研究では、事例ベースでの空間多様性やコミュニティの醸成に論点が限定されており、さらに実践が一般化しないという現状があった。本研究においては、低所得者の防災集団移転政策における質的住宅の量的供給を行う海外の社会住宅についてのマススケールでの実態調査を通して、コーポラティブ住宅の社会的・経済的・空間的利点について定量的・定性的に考察した点に学術的・社会的意義がある。
