Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、まず、2008年四川大地震による大規模な斜面崩壊やその後の土石流の発生状況を詳細に調査した。地震記録や崩壊現象の資料を広範囲にわたって収集し、分析を行った。
そして、地震および降雨による斜面崩壊のメカニズムと予測手法の開発に焦点を当てて、地震動の新たな外力指標としてパルス性地震動(PLGM)を提案し、これを使用した新しい斜面安定解析手法を開発した。特に、PGA(地表面最大加速度)が低いがPLGMが高い場合の斜面崩壊を正確に予測する手法を確立した。また、不飽和土のサクション特性を考慮した改良不連続変形分析法(DDA)を開発し、これを用いて降雨と地震の複合影響による斜面崩壊の解析を行いました。
さらに、数値方法の開発と革新的な応用を進めた。具体的には、1) 3D問題に適用可能なDDAモデルを開発し、複雑な現実世界の地質構造問題を処理するモデルの能力を向上させた。2) DDA方法を碎屑流、岩石破砕などの地質工学問題のシミュレーションに応用し、高い予測精度と効率を実現した。3) DDAと粒子法(SPH)を組み合わせた新しい土石流や天然ダムの形成・崩壊のシミュレーション手法を開発した。これにより、土石流の運動特性や到達距離の予測が可能になり、災害評価におけるこの手法の有効性が示されました 。4) 粘性土の体積収縮から乾燥割れまでの乾燥プロセスをシミュレートするモデルをDDAに組み込み、降雨による斜面崩壊メカニズムをサクションに基づいて解明し、地震と降雨の複合影響を考慮できるようにした。
これらの成果は、37編の論文として国際的に影響力のあるジャーナルに掲載され、学術界における評価を受けています 。研究は日本国内外の複数の研究機関との協力のもと、次世代の土砂災害予測システムの構築を目指して進められています。
