| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
アジア沿岸域に出現する小型有害渦鞭毛藻カレニア科とアンフィドマ科を主対象に，出現種の形態形質と系統的位置を明らかにし，種や個体群レベルでの分布把握を目的として調査を継続した。東南アジア沿岸域における現地合同調査はフィリピンで4回実施した。観察と培養株作成作業を現地研究者と合同で行い，その際に提供した採集器具を使用し，現地研究者に以後の試料採集を依頼することで培養株の作成を進めた。有害赤潮を形成するカレニア科渦鞭毛藻ではフィリピンでKarenia mikimotoi等の出現を確認し，作成した培養株を維持している。分子系統解析に基づいて同定した小型種Karlodinium ballantinumについては，フィリピンにおける出現等に関する論文を投稿している。本種はKarlodinium veneficum等の近縁種との形態的識別が困難であるため，ここで得た遺伝的情報はフィリピン産個体群の分子同定に用いることができる。脂溶性貝毒を生産するアンフィドマ科渦鞭毛藻では，マレーシアとフィリピンより作成した培養株がAmphidoma languidaに近縁な未記載種であることが確認できたため，電子顕微鏡による微細構造の観察と毒分析を実施し，新種としての記載論文を投稿した。延期されていた有害藻類に関する国際学会が11月に広島で開催されたため，マレーシアとフィリピンから海外研究協力者を招聘し，サイドミーティングでカレニア科の出現状況に関する情報を提供するとともに，東南アジア各国から参加した海外研究協力者と有害藻類の出現情報を共有した。
