Research Abstract

多くの真核細胞には、2種のコンデンシン複合体(コンデンシンIとII)が存在し、染色体の構築と分離の過程において中心的な役割を果たしている。本研究課題では、コンデンシンおよびコヒーシン(姉妹染色分体の接着に関与する、コンデンシンに類似した複合体)に焦点をあて、染色体構築の分子基盤についての総合的な理解を目指す。多彩な材料・実験系を駆使してコンデンシンとコヒーシンの動態と制御を解析するとともに、生化学的・構造生物学的手法を用いてこれらの複合体の分子メカニズムを解明する。
