Research Abstract

POPs候補物質(新規残留性有機汚染物質)、すなわち電子・電気機器等に含まれる有機臭素系難燃剤や機水材、表而処理剤等として利用されている有機フッ素化合物は、最近までヒトや環境中の汚染レベルが上昇し、その動向に学術的・社会的関心が集まっている。しかし、これらPOPs候補物質のモニタリング調査やリスク評価の研究は先進諸国が中心で、途上国の汚染実態はほとんど明らかにされていない。本研究ではPOPs候補物質に注目し、分析法の開発、アジア途上地域における広域汚染の実態解明、廃棄物投棄場等汚染源の解析、生物蓄積の特徴、バイオアッセイ/マイクロアレイによる影響評価、過去の汚染の復元と将来予測のサブテーマに取り組み、環境改善や対策技術構築のための科学的根拠を国際杜会に提示することが目的である。
