Research Abstract

主系列星内の水素燃焼後のヘリウム燃焼殻で起こる^<12>C(α,γ)^<16>Oの反応率は、以降の重元素組成比を左右する重要な物理量である。本研究では新たな高強度アルファパルスビームと高効率γ線検出器の組み合わせでγ線の多重極度の決定精度を高め、重心系反応エネルギーE_<cm>=300keVでの外挿値を誤差10%以下で求める。上記目標を達成するために、本研究では、新しいビームバンチング法による高強度アルファパルスビームの供給を実現する。
外挿の精度を高めるためには、E_<cm>=3.5-4.5MeVでのγ線角度分布測定によるR-Matrix解析の干渉パタン決定とE_<cm>=2MeV近傍での高精度なγ線角度分布測定で解析値のずれの原因を追及する事が重要となる。
ビーム強度の高いアルファパルスビームは、KEKの短寿命核ビーム装置(TRIAC)前段にある電子サイクロトロン共鳴型(ECR)イオン源からの連続アルファビームを、新たに製作する小型バンチャーでバンチし、TRIACの重イオン線形加速器で加速することで、この条件をクリアする。
