Research Abstract

実験研究では、レーザーシステムを改速し、正面衝突型飛翔鏡生成・反射実験を行った。また、反射光子数増大のため、非周期型の多層膜球面鏡と透過型回折格子を用いた新しい極端紫外光を構築した。実験では、理論的な予測に近い、10^9-10^10個の反射光子/を、波長範囲12.8-22.0nmにて得た[Kando et al.,論文投稿中]。この光子数は、従来我々が計測した光子数をはるかに上回る(4000倍以上)もので、本方式がほぼ理論通りに高効率で赤外光を短波長化することを示すものである。また、スペクトルの一様性から、プラズマ中に作られた飛翔鏡は反射角度9-13度に相当する部分に関する限り、一様な反射率を持つ鏡の形状が得られていることを示唆している。
理論研究では、光速飛翔鏡に深く関連する非線形ラングミュア波について研究を進めた。飛翔鏡の反射率に深く関わる、電子密度分布形状に関してより深く考察し、より一般的な定式化を行った[Panchenko et al.,Phys.Rev E]。また、飛翔鏡に必要となる波の破壊するためにプラズマ分布に勾配を作る方式を考察し、低いレーザー強度でも効果的に波の破壊をおこせることをシミュレーションによって示した[Brantov et al.,Phys.Plasmas]。流体などで観測される曳き波(bow-wave)が高強度レーザーがプラズマ中に小さく集光される場合にも作られることを見出した[Esirkepov et al.,Phys.Rev.Lett]。
