| Research Abstract |
柑橘香気成分の脳内神経伝達物質放出制御に関する研究
脳切片浸漬法を用いて、ストレス負荷による細胞外の神経伝達物質の変動を解析した。足裏電気刺激により、扁桃体からの5-HT放出は抑制され、レモン精油は、この変化を改善した。ただし、この作用は、s-リモネンよりs-ペリリルアルコールの方が強かった。
「緑の香り」成分の脳内神経伝達物質放出制御に関する研究
脳微小透析法(Brain Microdialysis)による解析と、脳切片灌流法(Superfusion)による解析を行った。植物表皮揮発物をラットにかがせることにより、脳の幾つかの部位モノアミン量を測定した。また、植物に含まれる香気成分を分析した結果、pentanal, hexanal, acetic acid, 1,4-bis(1, 1-dimethylethyl)benzene, 2H-pyran-2-one, tetrahydro-6,6-dim, pentane, noneralなど多く存在する。量的に多いhexanalについて検討した。脳切片灌流法(Superfusion)にて、hexanalの投与量と神経伝達物質(ドーパミン)の放出量との相関を解析した。Hexanalのこの作用について、GABAレセプターなどの関与を検討した。これらの生理作用が明確になれば、植物の香りを利用した抗ストレス・リラクゼーション効果を持つ素材としての利用が考えられる。
その他の品香気成分の脳内神経伝達物質放出制御に関する研究
現在、検討中の各種食品香気成分(例えば、ラベンダー、ジャスミン、2-フェニルエタノール、ダマセノンなど)の脳内神経伝達物質への影響を解析している。
