Research Abstract |
The goal of the present research has been to conduct a systematic bibliographic investigation regarding Japanese kanbun texts that have left Japan since the Meiji Period and that are currently preserved in publicly accessible institutions overseas. We conducted investigations into 8 institutions from 2008 to 2011. Among these we compiled a catalogue of Japanese Kanbun materials preserved in C. V. Starr East Asian Library, University of California Berkeley, and wrote bibliographic notes of the rare book holdings of the Library.
