Research Abstract |
This project examined Plato's Republic (Politeia), in order to investigate the theories of justice in ancient Greece, and to consider philosophical issues in our contemporary society. The research achievements were written in English, to be presented at several international conferences, and to be published in academic journals and books abroad. The project members played central roles at the IX Symposium Platonicum of the International Plato Society (theme : Plato's Republic), held at Keio University in August, 2010, where they discussed the research products with many specialists who came from all over the world.
