| Research Abstract |
本研究は、19世紀後半から20世紀前半の欧米の文化・芸術を「境界の消失と再生」という観点から、文学作品を中心に検討しようとするものである。本研究には9名の研究者が参加しており、それぞれが以下の大きな三つのテーマのひとつを分担して研究にあたっている。
1)民族の境界の消失と再生-ユダヤ人文学を例として
2)「男性-女性」の境界の消失と再生-イギリス文学・アメリカ文学を中心に
3)芸術の境界の消失と総合芸術-音楽、美術、舞踊、芸術誌を例として
そして上記の研究を総合化することで、19世紀後半から20世紀初頭の欧米社会が、近代から現代へと変貌していくその姿を浮き彫りにしたいと考えている。
