Research Abstract |
Conventional language tests have exclusively measured" declarative knowledge". In this study, we attempted to develop language tests which would measure" procedural knowledge". In so doing, we searched for test methods that would reflect acquisition order derived from the analysis of large scale English learner corpora. While tests methods tired out for this research did not function very well, the checklist method for assessing writing has produced quite reliable results.
