Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual situation of early childhood education and care in Japan after World War II through comprehensive and evidential analyses of the system, administration, finance, theory, curriculum, practice, training for teachers and so on. This study shows the own quality of the reform of educational system in Japan after World War II, the establishing process of two-branched system of kindergarten and day nursery, and the practice and training for teachers of kindergarten and day nursery to achieve the purpose, thorough analyzing the various arguments about integrating day nursery into kindergarten, making all children get kindergarten education, training teachers before and after World War II.
