Research Abstract

回転球殻内のブシネスク熱対流のパターン形成問題を,主に数値解析的手法を用いて研究する.この系は,地球や惑星の内部対流を扱うための代表的数理モデルである
ここでは,臨界パラメータ値から分岐する本質的に3次元構造を伴う熱対流解について,解の性格,安定性を調べ,分岐構造を数値的に求めることにより,球殻内熱対流の性質を研究する
また球殻内対流の興味の一つは,外側境界である球表面付近に誘起される流れのパターンにもあるため,巨大惑星を念頭において,球表面付近に安定成層が存在する場合についても表面に誘起される流れの性質を研究する
