有機導体β型DMeET塩における非線形伝導と隠れた準安定状態の機構解明

Research Abstract

表題の有機導体β型DMeET塩は、1/4充填バンド構造をもつ強相関物質で、90Kで金属-絶縁体転移を起こし、絶縁相はチェッカーボード型電荷秩序相であることが、これまでの研究で明らかとなっている。さらに、0.6kbarの低圧力からTc=4Kの超伝導転移を起こす。このように特異な電荷秩序パターンをもち、さらに異なるパターンであるストライプ型とも競合するため絶縁相が柔らかく、電場下でも巨大非線形伝導ばかりでなく、電場誘起準安定状態が観測された。このように、ジュール熱では説明できない準安定状態の電子状態を明らかにすることにより、分子性物質ならでは特異な電場応答を解明する。
本研究で、表題の有機導体β-(meso-DMeET)_2PF_6が、56Kで抵抗が3桁減少する巨大非線形伝導と、電場および電流制御の応答で、2段階の抵抗減少をオッシロスコープでも確認した。さらに、チョッパーで2段目の準安定状態を切り出して、電場下のラマン分光をおこなったところ、電極間の90ミクロン直径にわたる範囲で、チェッカーボード型長距離電荷秩序ラマンスペクトル(分子の電荷:+0.25価と+0.75価)が消え、電荷秩序が融解し、金属あるいは短距離電解秩序を示すスペクトル(+0.5価)を、2個目のサンプルでも観測した。これについては、レーザー強度依存性を調べ、レーザーによるサンプルの温度上昇で、電荷秩序が融解したのではないことを確認した。電場誘起準安定状態では、いまだ1000オーム近くの中程度の抵抗が保たれていることを考慮すると、この準安定状態がフィラメント状伝導パスでできているのでなく、均一な電場誘起ならではの電子状態であると考えられる。この内容については、本年度、論文にまとめ、受理された。
また、他の電荷秩序分子性物質であるθ-ET_2RbZn(SCN)_4およびα'-ET_2PF_6おいても、電場誘起準安定状態があることを見出し、特に後者は1ヶ月以上もその状態を保つメモリー効果を有する結果を得ている。
