Research Abstract

本研究は、これまで主としてプラズマ・材料化学の視点から捉えられてきた大気圧領域の高周波誘導プラズマに対して、低気圧プラズマや核融合プラズマで培われてきたプラズマ生成技術、計測技術や高周波技術を適用し、高効率で制御生の良い高機能誘導プラズマ源の開発を行い、新たな産業応用への展開を図ることを目的とした研究であり、平成20年度の研究成果として以下のものを得た。
(1) DSPによるプラズマ温度・密度の帰還制御実験に先立ち、PWM/PLL制御インバータを用いた任意波形変調誘導プラズマ生成実験ならびに生成されるプラズマの動的変調特性を静電プローブおよび分光計測により明らかにした。(2) 帰還制御用DSP(デジタル信号プロセッサー)を新規に購入し、初期制御プログラムを作成し、PWM/PLLインバータとの組み合わせ試験を行った。当初、インバータからの高周波ノイズによるDSPの誤動作やプログラム停止が見られたが、電磁シールド等の対策を施し、DSPの正常動作の見通しを得た。(3)DSP帰還制御のための制御信号として、プラズマ粒子(アルゴン等)の励起温度を選択し、2波長分光器による実時間温度計測法とDSP帰還制御ループとの整合性のチェックを行い、帰還制御の目処を得た。(4)核融合材料試験の一環として、高周波誘導プラズマにより生成される低エネルギー・高粒子束水素原子照射による炭素系材料の損耗試験を行い、1eV程度の低エネルギー水素原子照射によるグラファイトの化学スパッタリング率が高エネルギーイオン照射と同程度の高い損耗率を有していることを見いだした。
