Research Abstract |
A plasmonic waveguide is an optical waveguide using metal. We are able to realize unique function such as nano-optical waveguide beyond diffraction limit of light which limits dielectric optical waveguide. In this study, we have investigated novel functions of plasmonic waveguide, superfocusing, slow light and negative refraction that are applicable to new functional devices. We have fabricated passive functional plasmonic devices besed on a metal film. We are able to utilize them for high efficient nonlinear optical devices in nano-scale.
