Research Abstract |
Visible light-responsive TiO_2 thin films have been prepared on Ti foil substrate (Vis-TiO_2/Ti) by controlling the substrate temperatures during magnetron sputtering deposition process. Vis-TiO_2/Ti within H-type cell can decompose H2O separately into H2 and O_2 under light irradiation from solar simulator, while their activity being increased by calcination treatment in NH3. The introduction of UV-TiO_2 inner layer between Vis-TiO_2 and Ti foil also increases the photocatalytic activity. Moreover, dye-sensitized solar cells were fabricated using a Vis-TiO_2 electrode sensitized by a N719 dye.
