Research Abstract |
Chromosomal DNA replication in eukaryotes initiates from multiple origins of replication. Because chromosomal DNA must be precisely duplicated per every cell cycle, cells have regulatory mechanisms that limit the origin activation to once per cell cycle. In this study, we found how cells inhibit the premature untimely initiation of DNA replication and how to coordinate the activation of multiple replication origins.
