Research Abstract

本研究は、脊椎動物の性決定システムを分子レベルで比較解析し、性決定・性分化におけるシステム進化を議論・提案する事を目的とし、以下の計画で研究を展開している。
(1)アフリカツメガエルでは、DM ファミリー遺伝子に属するDM-Wが卵巣形成遺伝子発現ヒエラルキーの頂点に位置する性決定遺伝子であるという仮説の検証.(2)アフリカツメガエルDM-W遺伝子の分子進化の解析.
(3)DMファミリー遺伝子に属するDMRT1の脊椎動物進化過程における分子進化・機能進化の解析.(4)哺乳類(真獣類)性決定遺伝子Sryが属するSoxファミリー遺伝子の分子進化の解析.(5)DMRT1主導からSRY主導の性(雄)決定へのシステム進化の解析.
