| Research Abstract |
HGF-Met pathway participates in tissue regeneration. We found that phosphorylation of Ser985 in the Met receptor regulated dynamics and translocalization of Met, thereby regulating HGF-dependent Met activation. Ser985 phosphorylation was regulated upon liver injury, in a reciprocal manner to Met activation. Phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of Met-Ser985 regulated by tissue injury and intactness may play a role to suppress over-regeneration.
